When Curt was 10 years old, his father, a career Navy officer, enrolled him in a Navy Junior Boxing program. After the initial training, there were to be three fights. "I won the first two handily," says Curt. "I was 57 lbs. of sheer pugilistic fury and destruction."

It was during the final match that Curt made a fateful decision. "My third opponent was a monster, a thug, obviously on steroids ... I never finished the first round. Right after a solid blow to my head, and just before my face hit the canvas, I decided I wanted to be a musician."

Two years later, in Caracas, Venezuela, Curt took his first guitar lesson. Since then, he has performed throughout the USA in coffeehouses, concerts, and festivals. For the past 16 years, he has been a guitar/mandolin/bass instructor in a music store in Portsmouth, NH. He lives in York Beach, Maine, and still refuses to return calls to Don King and the WWF.
